Arsenal players doing Klinsmann dives, giving each other the bumps and holding their babies up in the air after beating lowly Wigan of the Championship. His point being, that it shows how far we have come, that we are *that* happy to get to the final of the FA Cup, when in his day we were dining at the top table

Criticising teams and fans for celebrating is a bit daft though. I never understand it when people criticise Spurs fans for being elated on the few occasions they manage to beat us.

Wigan were also very good on the day and they knocked out City

Wigan and Hull in the first couple of rounds and then fact the PL opposition, we've just done it in a different order

As they did, given they beat a Championship side on penalties. I don't agree with him, but how he celebrated after winning a semi-final vs one of their rivals isn't really relevant.

final is a significant win, regardless how it was achieved or who the opponent was.

At this rate enjoyment will be taken out of football

Players might as well just send text messages to each other to avoid seeing them celebrating and be happy

Same as Gerrard crying after winning a league game that may mean they win the league. The opponents are better, the prize is better.

The combination of it being *only* the FA Cup, and it being against a Championship side, and the fact that we could only beat that side on penalties makes non-Arsenal fans think that it was a bit embarrassing to be so joyous. For example, would Barcelona players have reacted in the same way if the beat Las Palmas in the Copa del Rey?

Need something to cheer about imo.

I even noticed Sanogo couldn't watch the pens :hehe: He's taking it very seriously.

Would the celebration level been the same had it been Spurs or Chelsea etc instead of Wigan? No.

That said, I'm not sure how we could've celebrated more without pulling a f**king inflatable cup out from somewhere and the team willy windmilling around the pitch.

crazy due to the comeback. And they were not all 2nd string types.

Penalties are emotional.

If we had won 4-0 against Wigan and it was a walkover we wouldn't celebrate the same way.
