the quality of the biscuits in the boardroom recently.

Apparently they always used to offer bourbon biscuits alongside the rich tea and digestives on the boardroom buffet table. Always.

Recently though the bourbons have been axed. No advance warning, no explanation, nothing – just like that. First Bob was fobbed off with the message that the bourbons were 'out' at the moment, but then they STILL weren't there on his next visit. Bob's lovely wife Megs was disappointed, too, apparently.

Worryingly, the truth is supposedly that the bourbons were considered too British and just didn't fit with the club's new global identity. Ivan broke the news to Bob and Megs personally and revealed that advice from a management consultant and focus group had supported the new policy.

The result? Bob hasn't been back since. Publicly he's still backing the team and following the official line, but privately he's devastated. Devastated, I tell you.

Digestives are biscuits for people who hate themselves and their guests. Rich Teas - while austere - are strangely alluring.

It's bourbons or nothing for Bob though and, worst of all, Ivan does not give a fúck.

The former Arsenal midfielder slammed the Frenchman for the club's eight-year trophy drought and claimed he hoped the 63-year-old leaves the Emirates Stadium in the near future
Arsenal legend Bob Wilson has branded Stewart Robson as "bitter" over his criticism of Arsene Wenger.

Robson, a former Arsenal midfielder who until last year worked for the club's in-house TV station, launched a scathing attack on Wenger prior to the Gunners' 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Thursday evening.

"I hope it [Wenger's exit] is sooner rather than later because I certainly won't miss him because Arsenal have been going down the wrong road for quite some while," Robson told the BBC.

Robson also blamed Arsenal's eight-year trophy drought on the 63-year-old and claims the Frenchman "doesn't do much coaching" and "doesn't have an actual game plan".

Wilson, however, believes Robson is hitting out at Wenger because he is no longer employed by Arsenal.

"This is a guy who worked for this club up to a few weeks ago, doing the pre-match stuff on the opposition, who then went to a newspaper, without naming anybody who had given him the so-called facts about him [Arsene Wenger] being a dictator," Wilson told the BBC.

"Today, he's been on every half hour on Radio Five Live, and this is a guy who obviously is a bitter guy because he's no longer got a role or any employment here."

Seems to me that dear old Bob, who is also a legend imo, is simply sticking up for his pal Arsene.

Personally, I think what Robson said is perfectly true so I have no problem with it, in fact I applaud the fact that he voiced his opinion.

sacrifice in recent years; he could have easily chosen to join clubs like Real, Munich, PSG etc. but he didn't because he believed in the Arsenal project.

What people like you have chosen to ignore is that we have built a new stadium without any finances from mafias or Arabic royal families.

This stadium had to be paid off and this has been done at the expense of not buying top players in recent years, as well as selling some of our top players.

I am so pleased that he has chosen this route as it has secured the club's future for years to come

Trophies will come and you know it!
