I've found out that Vancouver is the most expensive city in North America :-(

But it can't be as bad as London imo.

The actual planning is not the hard part.

It's other people who become arseholes.

is crazy expensive,at least I think so, Seattle is a nice city but imho not worth the price, suburbs are expensive ish, the further you are from downtown the cheaper it gets, we currently live about 20 mins from the city to the North, but are looking to downsize, you can get some decent homes that bit further out, we were looking at a place called Tacoma, which is about 45-60 mins south from Downtown.

We'll have some savings to take the pressure off.

But seen some amazing apartments in Downtown for about $1300 a month. Now between us that's very affordable. However I need to see what the cost of living/salaries are like. It's impossible to compare to the UK. I've looked around and it seems like the average salary is $40 thousand a year.

But seems easy to commute into the downtown for work purposes etc.
At least transport seems much much cheaper than here.

or if you have funds rent out - rent - buy then if property has gone up and you don't fancy being a landlord sell imo.

both options give you power in the sale , the rent and the buy, people cant pressure you plus people love you as you stop the chain and can move fast
