An orange is still a fashionable look on the catwalks... :rubchin:

How is this possible? The man isnt so much a fanny magnet as a fanny black hole.

His fanny magnetism is so strong not even perfume can escape

Did it put Charlotte Rampling off? I don't think so...

director a load of praise and then let him do whatever he wants. It's incredibly boring, too.

I love Zardoz though, in a kind of so-bad-it's-good way.

It's Schir Shcean you're talking about here. The master character actor, the king of accents - providing all characters are rakish scots, which if they are not is a failure on the part of the writers.

films I can watch again and again. The Carmina Burana scene as the land comes back to life when Arthur and his knights go out to fight that bloke who isn't Martin Clunes always brings a lump to the throat - and of course, Nicol Williamson is ace as Merlin and Helen Mirren AND Cheryl Lunghi get 'em out. Top stuff.

Deliverance though, one scene aside, is an utterly forgettable film.

in a most unpleasant way. Plus Burt Reynolds is - miraculously - not rubbish in it.

touching it right now? :-(

He might even have his hairy, unwashed and flatulent arse in the driving seat, seeping the emissions from last night's Findus Crispy Pancakes into it as we speak?.

By the way, I had shawarma at Westfield in Stratford on Saturday. Very nice, I must say. Although there was a slightly disappointing shortage of condiments - just hummus and garlicky sauce. On the plus side, they served it with chips.

They never brought the pickles! I only realised later. I'll never darken their door again.

On the plus side, they served the shawarma with a rather good whipped yoghurt effort.

strings does warm one to these temples of Mammon - if only temporarily. :-)

Funny you should mention gyros - I had a gyro when I was in San Diego. Poor thing. Nothing on a proper kebab or a shawarma.
