I have had to visit many jewellers lately. I feel most unconformable inside. Like a villain.

I have my sleeves rolled up and my hands on display like some nervous magician. Then I have to play it cool when they bring out the way to expensive **** to look at in order to not look like some tightarse.

2 times in 2 weeks now. Last week I was up in Birmingham with a mate looking for an engagement ring for his girlfriend. This week looking for my own requirements.

I don't like the doors either when they buzz you in. And the urge to swipe a load of stuff whilst it's on the counter.

I went with a notepad and for each shop i viisted i wrote down the price of the stone and its size and wrote down the price which was slightly lower than i was really quoted. I just asked them if they could do better than that and they kept going lower and lower until the price wasnt getting any lower. Such a romantic story
