View Full Version : A surefire sign that winter is over is that the tangerines/clementines are no longer what they were.

They're all dried up and full of seeds. Like your mum.

Winter has sod all to do with any of the citrus we eat and the quality thereof.

It is possible to have decent Citrus all year, but it would match your loaf buying exploits at times

Get yerself daaahn the market and everything tastes of stuff/has juice in it.

Granny Smiths from a supermarket are basically crab apples

with extreme prejudice. Market, indeed!

The only people to have survived the cull thus far are the Turks. And I reckon that's only 'cos they're a bit tasty.

Not content with this, they've just bought up a decent Chinese restaurant to turn it into another Tesco Express - less than half a mile from the Tesco Extra!

is stuff that has either been rejected by the supermarkets or not acceptable to them.

The production of fruit and veg is not split between the two, sometimes the same but rarely better
