A successor ?...will he botch it?...would Martinez leave Everton after one year? Is Simeone any good?..would Klopp come?...is the Grand Prix I'm watching live, or is it a pointless replay from last night?

I suspect the board might be more comfortable appointing someone like Van Gaal though as there'd be no compensation.

There are always candidates out there. No one had heard much of Wenger when Dein brought him in.

long as Wenger, will always leave a bit of baggage. An old hand like Van Gaal, might cope with that better. I think Utd should've looked for a proven European coach to manage the 'post fergie' transtion. Then looked for the younger 'club builder' in a year or two.

Although I do think we could aim higher than Martinez and Rogers IMO was doing a great job at Swansea.

He's also having a great season at Liverpool because that was all he had to focus on, and they have a great forward line. Defensively and in midfield they are not the best. Martinez couldn't fail at Everton, after Moyes.
