It's always better to give someone a handout than to give them a chance of stealing your job, after all.

It is interesting though, that we love Arsene Wenger when He imports cheap foreigners and to Pluto with the English game.

I have now, repeatedly tried to tell J, that this is not about egoistic motives, it's about the FIFA failing to show some muscle and punish the big clubs for taking advantage of third world children. And they use youth like my own daughter as alibi for showing that they "DO care" about these children. They don't. They were forced by an agressive Danish journo to punish Barcelona. They same journo who wrote about my daughter's case and how FIFA used it for all it was worth. That is why I'm saddened. That J makes this into a case where I want success for a wealthy girl and apparently, don't care about third world children. Let it be known, that I was contacted by the local refugee centre and asked if we would allow an orphane girl from Africa play footie with us. Of course I said. It's the beautiful game. As if we would snitch to FIFA about Sandra. She still plays footie and has been integrated in the Nog society.

Or do you want 'common sense' so that some girl somewhere can have a game but barca get punished?

It is a bit odd to complain about fifa not punishing big clubs literally days after they punished barcelona.

Upbringing.

At the emd of the day some spanish girl has been prevented from playing football. Same thing happened to the fat kids at school but you dont hear them bitching about FIFA.

She was probsbly a cheat anyway.

All I did was reply to a post by Nic, who brough up the case about a Spanish female exchange student who were banned from playing football in the UK. The same case with my daughter. The story is as follows. The FIFA originally allowed kidws who were exchange students to play football. But then FC Midtjylland took advantage of it and said that three massively talented Nigerians were indeed students in Denmark and incidentally wanted to kick the ball about. Fail. So the FIFA then closed that avenue. Hence, true exchange students who are encouraged by their own governments to go abroad and get smart, can't play football, unless (here's he paradox) they play for a professional club. Which btw, girls never do. So as always, girls are punished for what the lads do. Norway got a deal with the FIFA. Orphane refugees, and exchange students, can get disepnsation to play by the national FA, if they play in lower divisions. That's all I've said: this should be implemented in all FA's. And the FIFA should stop child trafficking in fotball!

UK parents, Canadian passport - went to live in Southampton with his uncle and aunt. I saw the rejection paper. "Denied" it said, signed by a FIFA rep from Singapore. And at the same time you would read about twelve year old yanks proudly signing for Barcelona.

Finnish lad moved with his dad to Sweden. Wanted to play footie. "Denied". FIFA decided the dad moved so his kid could play football in Sweden. In Sweden!? Why? So they had another case.

It's just your post was very insulting, instead of discussing this as mature, adults. Like we are.

My mate, the journo, who provoked this action by the FIFA, could tell you a few good stories about the INSANE corruption that exists within FIFA. And how they just loved to ban kids like my daughter, who travelled 250 km across the border between Norway and Sweden - two ALMOST identical countries - just to show how much they cared about Congolese boys.

should be encouraged to play the beautiful game in order to get assimilated into this new sociaety as soon as possible, whereas 8-10 year old talented kids from Nicaragua or Congo, probably are better off going to school in their home country and playing with their mates, as oppsoed to joining the La Masia, no matter how eager Barca are to tell the world that "oh, the kids want this themselves, it's their dream, it's their way out of poverty!"

We quite often hear the same said about prostitution. Or Pakistani kids making footballs or rugs.

difference in the world between being poor in a poor country and being poor in a rich one.

We do though, have a responsibility to our own children first, you'd think.

No red, there is no money in girls football. Non. What. So. Ever. It's an activity. Past time. They do it because they love it, it's a passion. Girls can make money in golf, tennis and alpine skiing. Not football.

My daughter wanted to play footie with her class mates, for the under 19's and for the ladies team in third division. We got a letter with a stamp saying "denied". And then we read about all this Norwegian ten year old boys who were invited to trials with Liverpool and Man City. Hilarious!

The notion that it's ok to do some wrong because of a clumsy, ham-fisted attemot to correct some other wrong is proof that the law can be an ass.
