As we ALL know...anything can happen in a one off game and they're now 3 games away from that nightmare scenario with a decent chance of making it 2 with confidence sky high if they get past Bayern in the 2nd leg.
Thought the interesting thing yesterday was how United settled and how they began to learn, adapt and deal with Bayern....they started off a bit lost and Bayern were cutting through them but as the half went on they got more comfortable....we're more settled, more stabilised, everyone knowing what they had to do and they were closing out Bayern in the box and tracking their wide runners better......suddenly Bayern went from have close range opportunities to having to take strikes further and further out and having to settle for deep crosses rather than the low fizzers that had caused United issues earlier..
..Not to mention young Welllbeck played a blinder....scored a terrific Alan Smith / Parma / UEFA Cup type goal that was incorrectly ruled as a high foot....that was a joke...it was a brilliant take and a sensational finish that left their defence bamboozled and Nurer completely beaten.....then he had an an amazing chance when one and one but opted (not sure why) to chip one of the tallest goalkeepers around....he won't make that mistake again.
Schwienstiger missing for the 2nd leg.....Goetze presumably the replacement but did you guys see how Carrick bullied him when he came on.....he OWNDED HIM....Michael Carrick owned Mario Goetze....for fox sake....
thought it was a top performance....and as the the tv lads pointed out yesterday.....both us and City have beat Bayern at their place recently....make no mistake United have a major chance of knocking this lot out now....Bayern choked last night....again the same question that was posed of Peps Barcelona while have to be posed again....does your team have a plan B pep....because United seemed fkin comfortable last night....and this time he's got no fkin Messi or bent fkin refs like with the Van Persie sending him off to save him,
