For one moment, I thought you might have been talking about La Tasca!?

Clearly not.

Omar is a good chum of mine, actually.

Omar is also a good friend of my family and he does indeed do quite a good job of bringing authentic Spanish food to our shores.

They've taken the fabada off the menu :-(

Did you use Chorizo bought in this country as well?

You need the rice in the morcilla that you don't get in black pudding. Plus both of them just taste so plasticy if you buy them here. I assume there are some health and safety laws that mean they can't add the bits and cure them properly that give them the correct taste in Spain.

Tapas Revolution hasn't been a roaring success yet, either.

This country became obsessed years ago with Italian food being the best there is. Olive oil? Italy. Tomatoes? Italy. etc etc.

So as it grew, more and more Italian food was imported and the price has come down accordingly. Meanwhile the demand for Spanish food never grew so there is not as much demand to import and therefore the costs remain too high and you end up with Omar serving genuine food but at 3 times the price it would be in Spain.

So TFI ends up being more fat for your pound than Tapas Revolution.
