About time too. Instead of burying his stubborn head into the sand listen to others and the message that 4th place is not a fecking trophy. Always being out of the title race and champions league in March is not success. We don't want our club to be happy year after year being just good enough to be above the europa league places but never good enough for the title. We want progress ! We don't want to be paying top whack and filling a 60,000 stadium to keep being in transition and being promised jam tomorrow. We want progress.

In reality everyone would be happy to see Wenger stay if he stopped crapping himself over buying players. Ozil was a great signing but that needed to be supported by 2-3 others of a similar pedigree. Yaya and Flamini are squad players not players to take us to the next level.

Then he needs to wise up tactically and stop that rabbits in the headlights mentality which means that most matches against top 4 teams are lost in the first 20 minutes (and that has been a problem for 3-4 years now not just this season).

Wenger has done great things but paying fans and pundits are not always wrong.

You have the patience of a saint, well done.

Now run along and stop showing off to the adults.

clubs like City and Chelsea in search of your trophies

Bloody glory hunters the lot of you, you don't appreciate what Wenger has done for the club; taken us to a next level and success is only round the corner but you lot are only concerned about what City and Chelsea are doing

so basically you started supporting a club that had been the most successful in english football in that era...and you call me a glory hunter. I think you are the cnut.

I was going to arsenal in the 70s and 80s when were a midtable team (or just above) and even in the relegation zone for most of one year. At a time when a cup run was the best we could anticipate but still us being beaten by second or third division clubs was no real shock anymore either. I don't want us to go back to that mediocrity.

You may be happy for us to just stand still but when that happens in fact you start going backwards because others around you start progressing. So if you don't want your club to progress then why don't you feck off and support west ham or fulham and enjoy their "going nowhere" attitude

players and in addition, Russian mafias and Arab oil cnuts are buying anything that moves without a care in the world?

Chelsea for example are buying players that they don't even need but doing it to stop other clubs from buying them; they have 26 players out on loan throughout Europe because of that reason.

For the first time we are in an excellent financial position to buy these players and we are in that position because of WENGER and you idiots can't wait, you make me sick!

Of course he has given us the most success since Herbert Chapman. However nothing lasts forever and the last 9 years has seen us caught up and overtaken by other clubs. So we either just sit in that 4th place comfort zone and eventually drop out of the top 4 because other clubs progress or we focus on trying to improve and bridge the gap with those above us.

You prefer the lets sit around the comfort zone approach but i prefer our club to have success. Success in football is about winning. I don't want our "goal" to be not losing. I want us to win and progress.

As so many people can see, Wenger has not addressed some fundamentals in the team. So if he is not capable or not willing to change then fine but we will then be stuck in the rut. Football management is not a job for life and you can't just go through the motions like morons like you do in your every day life.

I thank Wenger for my best football experiences but they were 10 or more years ago. We can't progress based on sentiment. I would love Wenger to turn it round but unless something changes then it won't. So yes if he can't or won't change then it is time for him to move on.

trouble is we keep hearing that we are in great financial shape and have transfer chest of 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 etc million. And we get Flamini and Sanogo as 2 out of our 3 purchases. They are not going to take us to the next level.

To match that we would have need to have won 5 titles and 2 cups in 8 years

He could just say Pep if he wanted and would anyone day he wouldn't do a better job (doesn't matter if he would or wouldn't want the job)

Munich for Arsenal

I want them to name a person that is available or could realistically become available and better than Wenger

It depends which way you want to go. Someone like Martinez would be worth a punt although perhaps too early for him now but if Wenger stays 2 more years then he will be ready by then. Otherwise there are plenty of others with pedigree like Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Van Gaal, Hiddink or others like Laurent Blanc are doing a good job at PSG.

You also need to remember (oh sorry forgot but you weren't yet supporting arsenal then) that Wenger was not a top class manager when he joined us. He had some success at Monaco but was still a young-ish manager without a real proven record of sustained success. So we aren't looking for instant success but we need a change of direction. As Moyes has clearly shown that won't be instant. So I can live without us winning trophies for a couple more years as long as we start progressing. With wenger we are now standing still.

they could say Klopp... who is to say he is better or not?

What ?

German league for years

I am not saying he is a bad manager but is he really the manager to take over from Wenger?

Personally I would go for Martinez because I believe he plays good football and has been successful with minimum budget; very presentable with the media which is also important.

However, I would prefer he gains a couple of more years experience with Everton and then go for him if he continuous progressing.

Mourinho before he returned to Chelsea, and Brendan Rodgers who is doing a great job at Liverpool.

Most top managers in Europe would jump at the chance of coming to Arsenal. It's*******s to think Arsene is the only way we can go.
