...so where is this mental strength we keep hearing about. Its all pish. Same old story as every year for the last 9 years, we are scrapping for 4th. Why doesn't the Board and AW just admit that we have gone as far as we can with the current philosophy and policy and its time for a change.

We now need at least 4-5 top class players just to get us competitive for the title. When I say competitive that means still in with a good chance by end March and not just top in November/December.

We get pretty much 60,000 supporters in every home game and have been for 7 years so its way past time to invest. And no more of this crap that we can't find better players than the ones we have. Well if that is the case then that is an admission of an underachieving management because if this is the best squad we can find then how come we win feck all year after year.

Enough is enough. I fully appreciate everything that AW has done for the club but we are now stuck in the rut and something needs to change if we are to move on in anyway.

we are making a lot from player sales as well.

In fact, the players you demand will cost in excess of £100million.

when he gave Almunia not only a starting berth but also the armband on numerous occasions :-(

after all, principally their idea.

The issue here though is, Wenger is a smart guy. Gazidis too. They understand that spending 100 million quid on new players guarantees us nothing necessarily better than what we have already; third or fourth.

However, actually spending that kind of money and only finishing third or fourth would almost certainly cost them their jobs.

Wenger has lasted at the top for so long because, from the beginning, He has backed Himself to achieve those results within a strict financial framework and by not spending silly money chasing trophies.

Fair play to Him.

I thought you were an authority on FFP, Rich.

We wouldn't actually need Wenger anymore then, would we.

He has always been aware of this fact.

actually we could splash £100m because the FFP is about an overall loss over several years and given we have made profits in last couple of years we can offset that against any potential loss.

So Him doing it would really be like turkeys voting for Christmas.

and finished lower than in every other season under Him. Wenger's frugal approach over the previous 17 years will have been completely vindicated
