View Full Version : I love Wenger, and I'd prefer him to stay, but part of me thinks that it'd be better for his own

for the club. he leading us to the fa cup and another top four finsh and maybe even long odds now maybe be but a title.

If he left us tommrow some of worlds biggest clubs from psg to barca would want him mate. In end i think this will be his final contract but he deserves it for all sucess and football he bought to this club.

there is every chance we could mess those up as well.... we have far more chance of failing to finish top 4 than we do of winning the title

combined with the fact that he has added just one first team player to the squad in 3 years (a squad that loses at least 3 first team players each year through injury), is really concerning.

When Chelsea and Man Utd came to the Emirates, they played a far more defensive game than we did against City and Chelsea, and we get absolutely embarrassed. This has been the case for a few years now. Even WBA's manager can go to Chelsea and get a point (should have been a win), yet Wenger hardly ever manages to do it.

If he wins the FA cup though, that should release some of the pressure on him at least and hopefully he'll strengthen the team in the summer and stay on a bit longer

big wide wembley pitch not so broken of blobby pitch away from home.

when swansea played lower division team at wembley they thrashed them 5-0. that what good teams do to average teams on a netual pitch.

if we keep our nerve we be lifting the cup on the 17th.

at chelsea, city and liverpool and fact its bizzare he not played flamami and arerta togther in any of those hammerings from the start when they been so good together in the other big games. :rubchin:

But if he wins us fa cup and we get top three then he can buy big in summer, improve squard and ensure we provide even bigger challenge in league and champions league

this crazy assumption that we've already won the cup demoralises me.
It just shows how thick some of our fans are when it comes to big games for little clubs.

and who were known for playing good football. also on day city were awful and went down to ten men.

we beat that same wigan team four day later 4-1. so imagine what we do to them if we play well .

and you'd be foolish to expect us to unless Wenger has another change of heart and lets go of one of his most treasured philosophies.
Not going to happen.

they also have worser goal difference then us so it really six point gap anyway at present. deep down everton aiming for europa league football which be good achivement for them.

were awful. wigan scored with their first two chances and then held on for dear life.

this wigaan team draw 3-3 with yeovil seven days ago,

we should and will beaat them if we turn up as we done other cup games

We could quite easily go down to 10 men and play poorly - we've all seen it before

so might not be big thing. point is if we turn up and keep our nerve we win.

it like any sport. the underdog should never win if the big dog comes out and keep his nerve.

but we didn,t. we went on to batter them 4-1 in the end

we could of pancied when hull took lead at our place in fa cup quater final in 2009. but we went on to win 2-1

these teams will give us a lot of chances. again as long as we deal with pressure of big occasion of wembley match then we beat all the teams left. even if we goal behind, we win as long as we professional in way city were second half againt sunderland in league cup final.

reserve team that day and won the return match with ease when they were profssional and we were without our best team ar orent but won the return 5-0.

Again of course shocks can happen but if we professional, play well and turn up we should have no issues beating any of teams left.

It all about us. Bit like if top four tennis player had onnly to beat world number 48 and world 100 and 128. If they turn up and play well they win the tennis tournament.

it same with us. if we deal with pressure we win. only we can beat ourselves

modd

but point is if it 11 vs 11 we with out team and hull, wigan or sheffied united with theirs should be big difference.

Only we can stop ourselves winning it if we don,t take our chances or don,t deal with pressure of big wembley occasion.

But we worked to hard now with big wins against better teams to throw this huge chance to end trophly drought away now.

when small clubs get this kind of chance they up their game.
All of a sudden they become quicker, more determined and harder to beat.
They also have nothing to lose, no-one expects them to win.
Dangerous and underestimate them at your peril.
Something we as a club have done time and again.

including big cup win after battering at liverpool, wins in dortmund, wins at home to nappoi, holding chelsea at home, drawing in munich and three wins over spurs without letting a goal in.

We dealt with many big games well. this is different kind of pressure when we such heavy favourites but with our record against **** teams this season as long as we turn up and play well we win the cup on the 17th.

modd
03-24-2014, 09:20 AM
own turf can take anyone on. on netual big pitch at wembley we should beat that kind of team in way we beat tme 3-1 at emirates.

anyway stoke better then any of teams left to fact to be honest in the cup.

underestimate them and will learn from last season and will put them to sword as we done most of weaker teams this season
