how much of an impact will the World Cup have? in the past our best players have come back knackered, we don't have a squad with enough quality in depth to rest them properly - Ozil in particular could use this one as an excuse
can we rebuild the midfield? we have attacking options in spades but the humiliating results against the top sides this season have resulted from the midfield being overrun and our defenders being left horribly exposed - Arteta cannot play any significant role next season if we want to be competitive, and Flamini is just too volatile
who is going to score crucial goals when the chips are down? Giroud is one dimensional and too easy to shut down, and the attacking midfielders have too many ineffectual games to compensate - we need a genuine goal scorer who can work better with the other attacking options around him
does Wenger have anything more to offer? the three (so far - still have another game against City to come) hugely embarrassing results this season and the inability to look like we deserved to take more than 1 point from an incredibly bad Utd side point to a club that is too easy to read, fragile and has no confidence, all of which lies at the feet of the manager - there is absolutely no guarantee a new manager would do better, but the definition of insanity is trying to do the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. Wenger can't be the manager forever, and if the club aspires to be in the top tier of England and Europe it is hard to see how anyone believes he is the man to turn things around.
