View Full Version : I think perhaps the worst thing about today is that I wasn't particularly surprised.

Performances like that are becoming more and more regular.

One in the first 9 years. 4 in the past 3 years.

Everton are 8 behind with a game in hand. If we sl up next week we could head to goodison with them about to leapfrog us. Dont write off an utter hammering there as well.

We need to move on wuickly otherwise the prospect of finishing a distant fourth will quickly look like best case scenario again....

When we were hammered by Liverpool everyone said "Liverpool's best performance for years. They'd have hammered anyone".

Now we've been hammered by Chelsea. Something of a reoccurring theme. Either we're very unlucky to catch these teams on a good day or we're doing something wrong.

If Fergie had stuck around, we'd have probably been given another two drubbings.

So again it comes down to looking at specifics rather than doing a blanket Wenger doesn't know what he's doing, we're **** and everyone is better than us, sort of response.

But the three defeats happened this season at a time when we're winning more games than we were in previous sessions. So we need to be looking at why it's happened this season rather than being so negative.
