Arsène set that up sadly with all his pre-match comments that today was the game of the season.
It was strange as everything Wenger says in public is effectively a message for his players. If he has to make big statements like that it says a lot about the mindset of the squad.
Either he has a bunch of flakey, unreliable players (as for the last five years) and needs to focus their attention or he's worried they don't care enough and feels the need to ramp up the pressure in public.
