‘I congratulate Arsène in reaching this momentous landmark. Having also reached the same milestone at one club, I cannot emphasise enough the level of dedication, resilience as well as sacrifice required and for that I have for the utmost admiration. Over the years we enjoyed some fantastic battles and you could say we had survived together and respected each other’s efforts to play good football. I always enjoy watching Arsène’s sides – Arsenal play the right way. Playing against them always presented special challenges that I burned many hours over the years thinking about. He has always been a conscientious member of our trade who makes it his business to help other managers. Perhaps the biggest compliment I could give Arsène is that I could never be anything other than competitive with my rival for 17 years. Overall this achievement once again shows what stability can bring to a football club and without doubt he has created a permanent legacy during his 1000 matches with the Club.’

but I can't quite get the image out my that that as he was writing/dictating that he was simultaneously ripping the heads of small babies to maintain his evil karmic balance

certainly worthy of a great deal of respect.
I'd love to have been listening in to one of Fergie & Wenger's wine sessions after a game.

Wenger despised the Govan Goblin.

Post match drink *******s. Do you know nothing of the man who manages your team?
they'd enjoy it after the game in the home manager's office.
I can't blame Arsene for not wanting to speak to the vast majority of Premier League managers. Imagine sharing a bottle with Sam Allardyce. Imagine the globules of saliva spitting all over your face.

He can shove his insincere, self-serving horsesh*t up his arse.
One of the best things about AW is that I don't believe for a moment that he gives a flying f*ck what other managers, players, fans or any other c*nt thinks of him and I have no doubt these 'tributes' are utterly meaningless to him, as, I suspect, is the 1000 game anniversary.
AW is a great, great man however many games he's managed us for. In fact, if it takes the arbitrary nonsense of his 1,000th game for certain people to acknowledge that, then f*ck 'em. They don't deserve him.

Arsene Wenger has never beaten Mourinhio in a game of football for any club.
Never.
This time will see no change. Mark my words.

It's a game of football, unpredictable.
We may win, we may lose, we may draw. None of us know at this point.
I doubt we will win however the fact that AW has not beaten Mourinho before is not entirely relevant to how tomorrow will roll.
*not usually a good sign
Delighted Ramires is out, along with Will.I.an....is Mourinho not banished to the stands?

Five draws in seven league games. That plus Mourinho's approach to the game leads me to think it will once again be another draw.
