View Full Version : So the theory I'm now hearing is all that this Malaysian airline nonsense is just a smokescreen to

hide the fact that it's been hijacked and to make time for negotiations. Or something. My source reckons it's parked somewhere at KL airport, hiding in plain sight among all the other Malaysian Airlines planes. :shrood: :sherlock:

abduction.

By far the most likely scenario remains, of course, that it's at the bottom of the briny. The facts are all so contradictory, however, that until the thing is found, one will have cause for doubt.

Are there any special codes from the staff that I should look out for to alert me to some kind of terror attack?

For example, when I was on the Waterloo & City line last week, at Waterloo, the tannoy announcement was "Will Mr Sands please come to the control room" And it was repeated 6 times. I know that is code for a fire alarm or something without alerting the public. Naturally I just ran to get the hell out of there.

So is there an equivalent for planes? I need to know the codes.

But then I'd have to kill you.

If you hear the phrase, "No.1 to the flight deck please." then you'd do best to put your head between your legs and kiss your arsehole goodbye.

I doubt I will be able to hear the commotion going on at the front of the plane as they struggle for the controls. What with me being so near the back and all.

Board and no flight informstion on the entertainment system. Flightt ook two hours longer than usual.

The explanation for the added security from the flight crew was excellent. "We cant afford to lose an A380" :hehe: :hehe:

I was quite surprised on my last long haul flight, when I wasn't able to sleep and stood down the back with the crew for most of the flight, that they gave me carte blanch with the on-board snacks. I must have got through about a quarter of the supplies.

The crew dont really give a f**k. Unless you keep pressing your button at your seat to order a drink. If you do that they will cut you off sharpish.

and she must have asked me - with no apparent loss of patience - if she could have her seat back about 12 times.

Then I got in everyone's way as they tried to deal with some bloke who collapsed by the toilets.

United Airlines, it was. Lovely people.

Huge relief to know thst st least one passenger isnt a c**t.

I am always incredibly polite to them and try to demand nothing.

Then again, some crews are just lazy, nasty c**ts. Hence i mever fly BA.

Monty91

We know it's not *really* true.

If you think there is a disproportionate number of ****s working for BA, do you attribute this to their specific corporate culture or something else?

I was somewhat ashamed about how much of it felt entirely familiar.

Which kind of suggests a lack of consistency if anything. I prefer to know what i am getting. Every emirates flight is largely the same. In fact, i pretty much know all of the crew :-)

almost impossible to discuss without using 'jargon'; this brings the further realisation that there are no layman's terms to describe many of these complex points, so the only way to address them would be using hours and hours of explanation.

The short answer is that most of the 'facts' being released at the press conferences and all the stories being leaked by governments and investigative agencies are contradictory.

Berni
03-18-2014, 12:48 PM
However, I continued to wear them happily long after the death of said relationship, so I feel I had the last laugh.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

It's a bit up and down, but better than expected. I have therefore been tasked with one week of 'gentle bike work'. It it survives this, chances are the tear has mended itself and I can slowly start working again; if it flares up, however, it's the knife.

Ironically, today is a bad day and far too painful to consider 'gentle bike work'.

the (no pun intended) long run.

Easy for me to say, however.
