View Full Version : Went to give my statutory declaration at court this morning. Was a bit scarier than I'd

expected :yikes:

Prosecutor gave me the full Larry David eyes and started asking me weird hypothetical questions that made me want to kick him in his ugly Jew face (the c**t was definitely a kike).

Now have to decide whether to plead guilty or not guilty.

Less of a stretch.

I'm pretty sure I need to plead not guilty to the charge, since I was unable to avoid committing the alleged offence due to not receiving any of the original correspondence (albeit due to my own error) relating to it.

Cant you plead guilty to the original and not guilty to the administrative complications?

Also, I cant hear the phrase "jew face" without thinking of Susie Green

Fundamentally you did not inform the police of who was driving the car by the required date.

You plead guilty and your legal chap explains the background, judge gives you a wee fine.

You plead not guilty and your legal chap explains the background, thing is you are still 100% guilty of the actual charge which I am sure even an argumentative c**t like you will accept. Judge gets annoyed by your time wasting and you get a bigger fine.

Either way you’re getting fined. Your defence is your stupidity or laziness or complete disregard for the road traffic by-laws (or whatever).

Both ways you are guilty.

relating to the original offence and subsequent court hearing *is* a valid and accepted defence!

You're clearly guilty, the fact you were unaware at the time is a pretty big mitigating factor and all the other **** going on your life is too.

Far be it from me to counsel acquiescence in the face of this stuff but you're only going to come off worse if you start arguing points here.

be rendered void and this alone can be very important indeed in particular, with a motoring offence where a conviction can have implications for the debtors insurance premiums."

Would it further be true to contend that there is a law requiring you to do so in order that you may be traced by the authorities in the event of your vehicle being seen infringing road traffic regulations?

As far as I can see you are guilty of 3 separate offenses:

1. The speeding offense.
2. Failure to report the driver of the vehicle at the time of the offense.
3. Failure to advise the DVLA of your change of address.

It's not the extent of the fine I'd be worrying about if I were you, it's the length of the ban.

They will have sent the original correspondence to the address linked to your vehicle or your license.

To not inform them of a change of address, (certainly with the license, not so sure about vehicle ) in itself carries a fine of up to 1k

Have a nice day now and good luck

that I did not receive any of the correspondence - proves credible in court, I will be found not guilty and will only have to pay negligible court costs.

The speeding fine is not, and never was, a court matter.

Thousands do the same every day - it is a common administrative error, particularly for those who had never owned a car before.

My problem has emerged out of the unfortunate coincidence that I happened to receive my first ever speeding fine during the same period I was registered at the wrong address.

:hehe:

You will be fined and maybe banned for failing to notify the automobile authorities of a change of address which is a crime.

due to not receiving the original correspondence requesting me to do so. Mitigating enough, I understand, to entitle me to a not-guilty verdict.

I am simply seeing the incident from a non-legally qualified view.

You are guilty, that is a fact.

Of course a legal expert can and will suggest you plead otherwise. Given the severity of the 'crime' however it may just be easy to hold your hands up.

At a basic level you plead NG and you may have to go back a further time. I was in said courts a long time ago and by pleading in this way I ended up being there about 5 times.

Wood Green it was.
