How stabby we talking? It's a 2 minute walk from the station so not far to stagger home if you do get cut by a raaaasclart.

I'd expect you'd see Mr Ben most mornings

All 4 directions from the tube station, unfortunately far too long ago to be of any help to you. Always thought of it as being a bit ****housy, but good ****housy and perfect for us at that time.

Bit of a step down from Hamsptead/Highate/East Finchley I would have thought.

I know this area extremely well.

It's not a great area. Lot's of dodgy characters. But I haven't had any problems. I use the basketball courts there.

To be honest I would see if you can go slightly towards Bounds Green or Palmers Green. It's amazing what a short walk can do to change an area. You have the rail stations up there too that go right into Old Street/Moorgate.

I live now between Wood Green and Palmers Green. My girlfriend used to live around Turnpike lane and I think it's better where we are now.

This one is closer to the station than Westbury - slightly west.

Even the properties we can afford in desirable areas are simply too high in demand for us to realistically stand a chance of being the preferred buyer. Most of the properties we're seeing are having over 60 viewings - and of 60 people you are going to find one who is a cash buyer.

I will not be buying in Vancouver either which has the highest house prices in North America.

This is not necessarily my opinion but a direct quote x 100 from my old mother.

Then we bought and a few years later the arsehole fell completely out of the Irish market. Oh yes, we’re f**ked.

Still, could be worse.

*might not work out or not be nice to live there.

Then I will see what the options are. But really don't fancy paying over the odds in London. A friend of mine just bought his first house which is nice. But it's so far away from anything it doesn't seem like a great idea.

And spent many a happy drunken night in turnpike lane without any problems.

You could easily talk your way into trouble round there but equally i always mansged to talk my way out of it.

Basically, it isnt terribly nice but isnt that bad. Only a silly, mouthy, arrogant **** would be at serious risk :-)
