At what point in history did it become the norm to book a defender when he tries to take hold of the ball from within the goal net after the opposition have scored a goal. Last time I checked, the team who have conceded the goal are due to take the kick off, so it is in their possession.
The ball has got fcuk all to do with the team who have just scored, why do they suddenly have a divine right to take it from the net and place it on the centre spot? I honestly don't understand why referee's are so trigger happy to pull a card out in those cases. It is the defenders kick off, it is his possession, he is entitled to take the ball from the net if he wants to...
