View Full Version : What seems a teeny bit odd about this disappearing MH flight is the lack of a primary trace.

I mean, obviously if the thing went pop you'd expect to lose the squawk, but between Malaysia and Vietnam there's no solid primary cover? Hmm?

It's not like a triple 7 is a tiny wee target, either.

The kind of thing the military use to notice when loads of bombers are coming over the horizon to drop high explosive on your head.

Is this like the military being obliged to call a road a 'line of communication'?

is the moment it 'went missing'. I'm wondering about the lack of a primary return after this point.

I'm obviously not making myself clear.

It's just in the middle of the sea somewhere, isn't it?

Maybe they all got together and decided to fly off to an uninhabited island (with a 3 km runway) and start a new and better society.

which is now in the hands of a villain somewhere. MI6 and the CIA will get it back after a long and very tedious underwater battle where it's hard to work out who is on whose side.

Some years later the film will get remade.

It's just the loss of a good aeroplane that troubles me.

Putting foreigners in charge of a complex bit of kit like that is a recipe for disaster imo. They probably just pressed all the wrong buttons or something.

Good, reliable aeroplane though. Shame to lose one. And there's the crew to consider.
