Don't dabble in dyeing. It's gross, comes off on your pillows and you end up either still doing it at age 50 or just giving up one day and having to come out as a grey-haired old man.

My father is bald. Lost his hair in his early 20's

But I've escaped that so far. My younger brother hasn't he's got a bald patch.

Grey is the better option.

But strangely as I am getting older my hair is thinning. if anything it' getting thicker and growing at alarming rate. After 2 weeks I start to look scruffy.

Every 3 weeks is my haircut regime now.
