armed men occupying their territory. The Interior Minister might be better calling his CIGS or equivalent, rather than squawking at the UN.

Honestly. These foreigners and their little squabbles, it's always the same. World wars are bad, they're bad for sales and they make the markets nervous.

At least interest rates might go up.

Nothing causes a market to shy like uncertainty.

Torn meniscus, strained MCL. 5 weeks of physio and then a decision regarding surgery.

My running days are over, b.

Oh, and it hurts like all be-fúckery.

That was a joke, for they are in Ukraine and I am in UK. As you might imagine, I don't know who they are.

Can you drive?

How on earth did you manage to wreck yourself so?

climb mountains and all sorts. He posits that soon, surgeons will start recommending the total replacement of knackered limbs with such bionic alternatives because they offer a better quality of life.

Shall I drop him a line on your behalf?

had a couple of days staggering about trying to cope with cats and chickens and feed myself, which has been humourous in a bleak sort of way on occasion.

I could have knocked you up something to eat, at least.

When's she back?

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

She's back today. Spent yesterday evening drinking with Will Self, apparently, and now thinks he is all that's wonderful. :-|

without all that silly 'have you used these before/are you on any other medication' nonsense is simply to use the words 'dental abcess', at which point they virtually throw Paramol at you.

That's the name of the good wons, btw: Paramol. Had a cold a few weeks ago and just popped a couple with a few glasses of wine. Drifted off into a very cosy and weird dream-laden sleep.

I've got Tramacet being delivered. Can these be ground and insufflated?
