horribly wrong, and there are a number of items that are cheaper but no worse in quality to more prestigious supermarkets.

1) Condiments
2) Confectionary
3) Cereal
4) Toilet paper

I think I will buy all of the above from there in future.

saves me a lot of time.

You should stop penny pinching and just get on with it, imho.

I used to not give a ****. but now I am far more sensible with this. I do not like pissing away money this stuff. Every pound saved is another dollar and a bit for my move next year.

Though some can take this too far. I was watching a show called Extreme cheapskates this family made their own toilet paper.

They often have the 3 for £10 thing which is very good. Better quality and it works out cheaper than buying stuff in Sainsburys.

I find Sainsburys quality of food awful.

and even the more well-heeled ones say you will spend no more than £200-£300 a month in their first year.

My tip would be to get a good blender and find a decent greengrocer.

The main expense will be that everything you buy will only be of use for a matter of months though. That's before you get started on the clothes. Oh my god the clothes.

I was buying some Lenor.

'Special price' £1.60 or something. for 500ml bottle

But look down the shelves a bit I find 1.4lt bottle for £1.80

The only downside it makes my shopping trip much longer.

Read 'Baby led Weaning', the kid will follow your lead and want to eat what youre eating, no spoon feeding, no forcing in the last bit,no need to whizz up anything, let the littlun lead the way.
Just get a dog to clean up the floor cos it gets messy as hell :hehe:

ur story

Background

We are an Anglo-Swiss partnership who joined forces in 1998 and based ourselves in London, the European heart of design. As a design consultancy we advise companies on any creative aspect. This accumulating insight into different markets catalysed the decision to develop our own range of products. It has since become a vehicle to fully explore and enjoy our creativity. Our designs have won numerous awards and are sold through selected stores all over the world.

Philosophy

We are driven by the opportunity to give each design its own unique character and soul. Our brief is to create functional products that will charm and entertain. We are passionate about design and realise that a true black + blum product is always a joint input of Dan and Martin’s personalities. Hopefully you will get as much enjoyment from black + blum products as we got from designing them.

So I had never been to one and up until a little while ago I had no idea they sold other stuff as well. Eventually went to one for some minor groceries a couple of times as it was conveniently close to a flat we were staying in in Edinburgh.
Yet, a few years ago I inadvertently once offended someone who thought I was taking the piss when I asked whether the eggs they buy from Iceland are frozen :-(
