What a strange morning.

You know Manyoo are going to win 3-0 at home, don't you?

Especially knowing that Ferguson is almost certainly enjoying their troubles (human nature being what it is).

Any moral person should always want the team that is used to winning to win (providing their legacy of winning was gained creditably- i.e. not chelsea or city)

This isn't another slight on my hometown, is it? :-(

being the only thing he wins.

Not sure about him coming back, but I certainly wouldn't find it hard to support him.

I meant Croydon - as you very well know (although Caterhams aren't actually made in Caterham, are they?)

but glamorous? :hehe:

I was in Slough, amongst the Italians.

Do you think any of them have had a shred of sympathy for us during our thousand years of failure and counting? Did Dear Old Robin feel sorry for us as we appeared to slide inexorably out contention on our famous downward spiral as he rode to glory?

I do feel a bit sorry for the bug-eyed bloke though. He's had no glory days.

I've never found an actual town in Slough. Is there a bit with, you know, shops and houses and streets and stuff? It just seems to be a vast industrial estate.

They used to say it was the closest you could get to flying without leaving the ground.

There is the possibility that you might sniff somewhat derisively at this suggestion, if not actually howl with mocking laughter.

Reading I've always struggled with, as well. To be honest, there are some truly nondescript towns in this country, which is why I don't know why Croydon gets such a hard time. At least Croydon definitely exists and has an identity.

When Aston Villa finish midtable every season, there is no trauma, as they are used to it. For Man Utd, it would be a catastrophe. Why would I wish that on my fellow man, for whom I hold no ill will (now that repugnant **** Ferguson has gone?)?

I love my little Caterham and it's more fun than you can shake a stick at on the track; coming off Paddock Hill bend in a four-wheel drift knowing (!) that ground effect will catch you when you bottom out assuming you've judged it right and will hit the correct patch of tarmac is one the most exhilarating things I experience.

But flying? No. It's not like flying.

Any bumming?

Morris down the A4 to the field by the little village of Heathrow, to take an aeroplane to an exciting country on the edge of the empire...

Great days, j.

We met once before a game at Old Trafford. He was a rugged looking man with strong shoulders and firm buttocks. I never did find out the score that day.

Do you use the full width of the kerb at the botton of Paddock Hill and have you ever put it in the kitty-litter?

Do you get to go round the whole GP circuit or just the Indy?

I'm currently training for this next season.

There's something infinitely depressing about that.

Yes, we used to do a cricket tour around places like Flitwick, Ampthill and so forth. Nice area.

Pretty as a picture, it was. Really charming.
