Spoke to my sister last night and said we were looking for one on Ebay (an iCandy Peach) for about £350 and she said there's absolutely no reason to spend even half that.

and I'm glad she did now. You'll spend so much time pushing it about that it's good to get a light one that is easy to fold, but strong. You can always sell it on eBay afterwards and get a lot of your money back. Having said that, we need one that's good in snow and hilly terrain and the resale value over here is pretty high

or just buy a second hand Emmaljunga or Bugaboo

Just get a versatile won, car seat, back and forwards facing options, decent wheels etc.

Mamas & Papas do decent enough ones

are actually better.

The pricier ones do seem a bit over-designed. Do you really need three incline gradients for the...wotsit...bit they sleep in?

to the kid, so don't worry about a cheap one being worse in that respect

It's just that the expensive ones seem to be well engineered and clever when it comes to folding them up, attaching new bits etc

The absolute main thing though is the ease you can get it in and out of the car boot. Mine is pretty big and it just about fits into the boot of my estate car

This one is good for geekiness

very light and easy to push about, carry etc,,..last thing you need is weight or things that dont fold up..you also need one that can carry the rocker seat / car seat thing for first 6 month or 9 months and can clip into pram..can just carry wee fecker about then and tuck him under restaurant table

Asking a bunch of strangers is not the way to approach what is a very important purchase.

Your sister sounds like a tight fisted kind of person.

They say it never leaves you.

btw, did you see the alleged evidence that the US has given $20 billion to the Ukrainian Nazis for their coup?

Hopefully it is just some sort of infection that can be cleared up easily.

Notice how US/EU has opposed a peaceful division of the country. They either want civil war or Russian action. Meanwhile the old propaganda machine paints the bint as a political prisoner rather than a criminal oligarch, and the ousted, elected government as a 'regime'.

btw, my numbers were wrong up there. I think one source said $20m per day, another said £5b total.
