Hartwell House near Aylesbury. Incredible cauliflower soup with ravioli

Followed by loin of venison with a gingerbread crust.

I stay in a lot of hotels and eT in some great places but that was magnificent.
Washed down with a Pouilly Vinzelles.

I am almost afraid to have a pudding!!

But suspect the finely laced apple tart on crisp puff pastry
With caramel sauce and creme fraiche ice cream may get me in the end
Sadly alone as picking up wife from LHR tomorrow but try it
