I use it a lot on planes/trains so need the 13 inch retina display won.

Which one offers best value for money? I am thinking the won with 8GB of memory and the 256GB of SSD storage.

Plus, as years go by, the 8GB of RAM will become more and more necessary.

They even do a 16GB won - but that'd be a little excessive, I feel.

I also use it for DJing on the odd occasion I still do it, so it's nice to have a extra RAM, just in case.
