Yeah, just like with Øvrebø in the infamous Chelsea game, the Swedish ref wanted Barcelona to go through. Coz that's what Scandies are known for - being corrupt.
The mutterings of a mad man...

Even when you look at the incident in slow mo it is not easy to see that the tackle on Messi was dahn outside the box.

Hope Pellegrini gets a solid suspension for his ramblings.

Oh, and it's not like City have not gotten their fair share of crazy decisions going their way this season.

plus countless other incidents. They just shouldn't let these shocking Scandiwegian refs near big games though. Should just let Howard Webb do them all

Spot on about the penalty - even if initial contact was minutely outside the area impossible to tell. It was a dreadful tackle. And surprisingly since he admits it was a foul and therefore a definite red I am not sure how he can say the ref decided the game

Should have had a top ref from the Premier League. Someone used to the speed and tempo. Someone like Howard Webb.

After having had to deal with the FIFA, I can inform you that countries like the scandyland and England are being so thoroughly shafted up the back side by these IOC lookalikes from southern Europe, it's sickening.

now that they most likely are out of the CL. Saying things like that is such a massive insult - anything but a solid ban and a fine would be unthinkable imo.

Well, second worst if you include the decision to pick Demichelis.

The worst decision of that game was Øvrebø sending off a Barcelona player for a second yellow. Replay showed the Barcelona player was not near the Chelsea player.

Øvrebø had a number of handball situations that he allowed. Admittedly, one or two of these he could easily have given, and most refs probably would. But strictly following the rules, none of the incidents were clearly deliberate handballs.

Still, there was talk about Øvrebø being on the bung. Why would he send off a Barcelona player if he wanted Barcelona to win?
