Very tactical. At 4-4 towards the end of the 9th inning the clown trousers have the last stone, and unless they can win the inning 2-0, it is far better to draw it 0-0, than winning 1-0. Even a 1-0 defeat in the ninth may be better than winning 1-0. Still, the jocks force us to win 1-0 and by losing the ninth they end up with the last stone in the final inning, a massive advantage. A 0-0 draw would have given the Nogs the last stone in the final inning at 4-4. At 4-5 down with the last stone the jock pulls out a magic stone of his hat and wins the last inning 2-0. 6-4 victory to the Scotch.
