The first thing to note is that the tapas plates are really quite small. They suggest 2 - 3 plates per person, we ordered 7 between 2 initially but then ended up ordering 2 more, so basically just order everything on the menu if you don't want to leave hungry.

The pork ribs, salt marsh lamb and Italian greens were excellent, the octopus and the root vegetables a bit ordinary. There was discord in the SC household over the courgette flowers, her herself loved them whilst I thought they carried the tang of old, tired oil.

The wine list isn't huge and carries no obvious bargains. We had a very decent bottle of Rioja but at £44 it was probably a little overpriced.

Overall an enjoyable meal, but not particularly memorable and not particularly good value. At that money I'd prefer to walk 50 yards up the road to Berners Tavern.
