Does anyone here use Battery Doctor (or equivalent) on the mobile and if so,

does it really work, is it worth having, are any side issues?

This is one recommended for Android, are there other better ones?

Not sure why but my battery isn't as good as it used to be, I do try and stop any s/w that I don't need but still, not good enough.

The other day I got a warning it was down to 9% even though it was fully charged in the morning. I only use it for basic web access (not downloads or radio etc.)
