@timpayton We made two bids. It would've taken 60m plus. For me, we shouldn't have got involved in Suarez bidding when GH was viable.

in private, we tried to pay it. The player and the agent believed he had it. We believed he had it. Why shouldn't we have therefore tested the buyout clause by bidding 40? Why would we bid 50m when we thought we could have him for 40m?

The only reason I made that comment is that I have posted a few of his comments here and some people may well be sick of him as well as me :-)
