ie the solitude and freedom to run at my own pace, on my favoured route listening to my own music/book/podcast.
F*ck running clubs. Full of wronguns.
I'm off to Henley tomorrow. The address I'm going to is The Boathouse. Is it underwater?

It's been quite a while since I went further afield that that you see.

He's a jaded old stand up comic who interviews all sorts of interesting creative people. Once you get past the psychobablle and emo stuff it's rather wonderful.

I wouldn't say they were all fit.
as Berni says, the getting away from everyone is one of the best things about running
That is why i'll be running with 000's of people in April (subject to my knee holding out):-|

As I sit here I am suspiciously eyeing the River Aire, which we are the first house up from.

Mate of mine is quite a decent runner, 5km in 20 minutes sort of pace. He was telling me that the woman in his local Runners Needs was telling him about Parkrun and how he should go along. I explained to him it was likely to be full of wrong uns who want a social tea and biscuits with a leisurely 5km in 35 minute jog/walk. Serious running is about being by yourself.

He was the remarkably corrupt tory council leader in the 80s who gutted the town.

I ran my first 5k in over 2 months on Monday night after I tore 2 ligaments in my ankle playing football in November. Hard going, I have lost all of my cardio fitness. Gonna take some work to get back down to my normal times of 25-27 minutes (not bad for a fat bloke). I put on a stone over Christmas by not being able to run.
skinny, loose high cut shorts, balls no doubt dying to hang in your face..doing lots of stretches and bad jokes

If their pace was too slow I'd overtake and look for the next one.
im getting quicker as I think if I was a woman I'd have been 10th or something..so not many in front any more ...try pretending you are chasing them ..its even more fun and you go quicker as you then over take them and then concentrate on chasing the next one...rapey running is the technical term
