is "outraged" and "dismayed" at the FA's decision not to ban Yaya Toure. And yet the actual piece features not a single quote from Mourinho in response to the decision.

reaction would be if Toure wasn't banned

to the decision, when he has not *given* a reaction to the decision. Perhaps he's changed his mind?

It's hardly worthy of a Leveson enquiry, but is still an example that even the qualities do not miss an opportunity to engage in shabby link bait tactics.

Best budget restaurants
Best hostels and b&bs
Where to eat cheaply
Where to eat without forking out

They're obsessed with cheap.

Tight-lipped, niggardly and mean-spirited.

the emotion spectrum from "outraged" and "dismayed".

You know full well that the Guardian insinuated in their headline and opening paragraph that they have gained new quotes from Mourinho in response to the decision in order to draw readers in.
That's certainly why I read it.

Shabby tabloid tactics.

of their list. Hence the word "best"...

Not everyone slavishly follows Giles Coren on Twitter so wouldn't necessarily know you can get a top quality portion of Gloucester Old Spot pulled pork in London for under a tenner

I'm going for the first time on Thursday. I believe Marina O'Loughlin is about to give it a very good review, so we've probably got in just in time.

I must confess, I've got a throbbing hard on for this place. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

ridiculous carping at the back of my mind poisoning my experience. :-(

authenticity of the whole restaurant-critic charade.

You do know that a positive or negative review from a Coren or a Maschler can make or break a restaurant, don't you? Do you realise how susceptable this makes critics - most of whom are far from wealthy - to the offer of huge bribes?

Not to mention the way that once one of the big name critics offers a certain opinion on a restaurant, the lesser names feel compelled to follow suit.

You're just a pawn in this shabby game.
