We just didn't look ourselves at all. I can't analyse it to say what was wrong. The defenders who have played so well all season just forgot the basics. Left huge spaces open for them to run into.

If someone told me that in the first half I was watching Real Madrid v Stevenage, it wouldn't have surprised me

At least we have an easy game coming up on Wed to bounce back :-)

It's pretty obvious that he has a free pass this year. Complete joke. If he was the new CEO in a massive company and doing such a poor job, his job would certainly be under intense scrutiny.
What we've done here is the equivalent of appointing a check out operator as the new CEO of Apple, and then wondering why it's not going so great.

if only we had bothered to leave the dressing room

4-0.... it could have been 6-0 within 20 minutes. That is how bad we were. Serious question do need to be asked.

The 1st goal was marginal, and poor defending again from another set piece, but they really should have been able to settle after that. To some extent it was one of those days though, everything Liverpool tried in those 30 mins came off. We just made it even easier for them by giving them the ball.

I had to check to make sure Robbie Fowler wasn't playing too

it was worse than the 8-2

Chesney actually had a decent game

and then sat on the floor throwing hissy fits when they weren't given. Ozil was terrible for it and cost us 2 goals

For the ball to come to him.

Even though Utd are in a bad place, I'd much rather be playing Fulham or Cardiff at home. Could be a humdinger, both teams have it all to prove

for a start. Arsenal created a lot of chance in the 8-2 and 3 of ManU's goals came from distance. On Saturday, all 5 goals were in the box or 1 on 1 with the keeper and it could have been a lot worse.

Fair play to Liverpool, they got their tactics spot on. They pressed high and put the ball handlers under pressure. They knew we had no pace, so were not a threat in behind. Of course, that is not the reason why they were 4-0 up inside 20. Individuals need to look at themselves and their own preparation for the game.

Wednesday night the players are going to have a disgruntled crowd on their backs, if they do not start well. We're playing a pretty ordinary ManU team and the players need to put in a performance. My only fear is that if we start poorly, we might struggle and ManU might take advantage, regardless of their current form.

defences, so they know they can push up far higher and make it much easier to press

No matter how badly you play, it's rare for any team to be 3-0 down so quickly.

And after that, nothing much matters.
