Why Monreal??

Why has Gibbs been dropped in favor of Monreal? From what Ive seen Gibbs has played the better of the 2. Both hammerings this year have been with Monreal at LB. Was only able to watch todays match on T.V. but it appeared the left side was a disaster.( maybe the whole defense was.) Monreal is ok against mid to bottom table sides but against top sides he doesnt seem to cut it.

Gibbs has an exceptional season , he was first choice until picking up injury a month ago , since his return he has sat on the bench , he must be carrying an injury otherwise Wenger has lost plot
