I think that in the absence of ramsey the position between Art and Ozil is an issue for us.

Love Jack, but he does not have the discipline of Aaron, and his play is so much dependent on his fitness that it unbalances us against fast counter attacking teams (Pool, Bayer, Chelsea, etc.).

Arteta or Flamini sits. Ramsey hustles, presses, and passes cleanly. Jack can do that too on his day, but is too advanced every time there is a turn-over, and goes into blind alleys and blind rages too often when he is not tip-top shape.

I honestly think Rosicky is a more secure and tactical player in that position until Aaron can come back. Arteta or Flamini can do the holding job. But they need a bit more support than today.

Having said that, when you concede two goals in the first few minutes to set pieces against a team that can just sit and hit you on the counter after that, very little else matters...

Agreed that Rosicky should have played in the centre instead of Jack today. Heck, I also think that Rosicky should have played in the number 10 position rather than Ozil.

he relies on the midfielders being around him and going beyond him. Today the midfield were giving the ball away so deep and they couldn't get up to support him. Dropping him from Wednesday would be fine, if we had a viable alternative. We don't, so he has to start.
