I have a 2.40 hr connection time in LAX. I need to go through customs then go back in.
if the first flight leaves on time I reckon it will be enough.

But any delays will be cutting it fine. Most importantly I will need to find time to at least have 10 cigarettes during this 2hr 40 minutes.

Three of them quizzed me on what exactly i had meant by it. The blank faces as i tried to explain were incredibly punchable.

It is a horrible thing when you find yourself so exhausted and hacked off that you start resenting some poor innocent Indian chap who's being given a hard time in front of you and thinking wholly un-Christian thoughts like 'Well he shouldn't even have tried coming over here. He must have known this would happen. They should have different queues for them.'

We weren't even entering the f**king country - just changing flights from Panama to Madrid but they still made us go through customs and security and we almost missed the connection - A lovely experience with people with machine guns shouting at us in Spanish, which was still preferable to the icy silence from the woman I was with. Just to top it off the plane from Madrid took off with us being able to look out of the window and see out luggage still on the runway
