I was surprised he gave up on him (you emirates goers have to take the blame here). His finishing was woeful, but he created a lot of space for the other players

Apart from your obvious wind-up there's also the factor of a million internet retards constantly slagging every player off at the first opportunity.

to how Wenger allowed him to play.

Garcia also happens to be his old manager in France.
Hence good > iffy here > good again

Garcia knows how to and is prepared to play to Gervinho's strengths.

even though he was sent off v Newcastle when the mong Warren Barton got him sent off.

In the first few months he played really well creating chances for other players, mainly RvP and scoring a few himself.

The problems started when he went to the Africa Nations Cup and came back in an indifferent form and the fans found the excuse to give him the traditional treatment that they only know best. Just like Chamakh and other players before him, Gervinho wasn't mentally strong (which is a must for football pro imo) and completely lost his confidence. He then went from bad to worse and the rest is history as they say.

Wenger played him against the fans wishes hoping that he'll get his confidence back but our mongs wouldn't have it and treated him accordingly, as they also did with Eboue.

When Gervinho was playing his best for Arsenal he was playing the same position as he was when things went wrong; I have watched many of Roma's matches live on it TV and he plays the same way for the as he did for us, the only difference is a man with total confidence.

These players (Eboue, Chamakh, Gervinho) are not world beaters but they ain't bad players either as their previous and since record shows but our idiotic fans are consistent in their abuse.

And that was him playing well apparently.

In some sides he will do well but he is so sloppy with possession, his delivery is slightly wild and his finishing far from brilliant. Hewas not remotely suited to us and i was glad he left.

Also very glad he is doing well now. Good for him.

I know he had decent spells. There were even games where i wanted him to come on. And he started his second season pretty well if i recall correctly.

Just like Eboue he was verbally abused while on the field, every time things went wrong he got the blame, when he was taken off the fans showed their pleasure and when he was brought on they showed their frustration; all that gets through to the player which affects him as it would affect any human being, are mongs apart of cours.

just didn't work out for him here. Not the first and won't be the last, bit like Forlan at United

that in all my years going to support the mighty Arsenal I have never seen or heard the crowd get on anybodies back for being good at what they do.
I have found the Arsenal fans who do go to games are in general a fairly knowledgeable bunch. It usually takes quite a lot for the fans to show their frustration at players; continual wasting of possession & opportunity, failure to do even the basics right and then it has to happen regularly enough to instigate a loss of favour.
The players who have found themselves on the sharp end generally pretty much deserve it.
We didnt boo Eboue or voice frustration at Hleb or Gervinho or Arshavin et al because they were quality, they copped it because they were regularly poor on many occasions.
I honestly don't think you will find a more patient group of fans anywhere else in the league.
However once the line has been crossed its very hard for a player to get back....Eboue did it and he did it by hard work and application and improving his all round contribution.

it just says that your point is redundant.
Wenger chose not to persist with him anymore, he moved on, he's doing well.
Good for him.
what's your point?
Are you suggesting the fans made him a bad player over here?
Are you suggesting the fans made Wenger sell him?
Are you suggesting Wenger couldn't get the best out of him?
which is it Nic? whats your point or are you as I suspect completely pointless

I do not agree with booing. However, gervinho was pretty **** and totally wrong for us. Blaming that on the fans just isnt going to cut it.

Arshavin was argusbly a bigger victim and one with the potential to be as eriously good player for us.
