View Full Version : Did anyone here really know anything about Daxler before the last few weeks?

I can only imagine what most of the moaners would have said if :spud: paid £37m for him, I guess the same as you have said about Soldado amd Lamela when they paid £55 for the two.

Personally I knew very little about Daxler and I am prepared to accept Wenger's opinion on his valuation, the media will of course stir things up because its headlines and tossers like Tim Payton will continue to ridicule Wenger even though he hasn't come up with any alternatives.

I hope that we have some plan B's lined up. As we've left it very late now. But then again things move quickly on deadline day.

I think we have a good squad. A few additions can really help our title push imo. I think with the current squad due to injuries etc we are bit thin for the long haul.

But going back to Draxler. if indeed he is possibly going to become one of these stars of the future. I hope not getting him at this stage comes back to haunt us when another club snaps him up in the summer.

Happy to wait until the summer to get the right striker and equally happy to save the money we might spend on a short term solution that will probably prove of little use.

There are a f**k of a lot of strikers out there who are not as good as bendtner.

Far more concerned with our midfield issues st the moment.

Why would we have a plan b? If we csnt get him we buy someone else?

Why? What if we just wanted him? What if we were only in the market for 'something really special'......

To be fair, that probably is the situation and arguably it should be. It is certainly what wenger keeps telling us.

though he did the same with Ozil.

So he's not lied. I think there is some substance in the story though. I still think the deal will happen.

Twitter just follows some impatient people who do not know what's going on and they just react from that.

To pay for them. Utd paid £30m for Rooney when he was in his teens. I think they got their money's worth. I don't think it should be Wenger deciding how much we pay for players. He should be identifying the players he thinks can win us trophies and then let people like Gazidis get on with the financial side of it.

PL and Bale was and is God

Personally I have no idea if he is worth that money and prepared to accept Wenger's opinion on that a lot more than Tim Payton's

Even John Cross has come out today to say that Wenger is right to refuse to pay the £37m, Cross is the guy that Tim Payton was using yesterday to justify his demands
