I read this online and thought there is no way it would work but.
Apparently if you pull out the battery whilst the phone is still on. then after 30 seconds put the battery back in and turn the phone back on it should fix it.
The logic is pulling the battery out and leaving it for 30 seconds makes the phone does a full reset. Which is different from just switch it off and and back on again.
I don't see how this works but since I have done it the battery seems back to normal.
