It's always been an ambition of mine to own my own tarp. Now I can say things line, 'Don't worry, we'll pop a tarp over it for now.'

Today I have become a man.

My FiL has a lathe, the f**ker's had trains in his shed and he claims you arent a real man until you have a lathe.

I fear I'll never get there

Does a vice count?

A primary colour tarp (blue, red, yellow) tarp signals that this situation needing a tarp is temporary and I will be right on this to fix it.

A green or brown tarp lends to the situation a sort of permanence that could last years if not forever.

Mind you, I do have a "Meat Slab" in the cellar.

This slab must have 200 years of meaty goodness on it.

I think it sort of acted like a fridge too, before such things were commonplace

If you are planning on burning them that is. I know about these sort of things now

And my tarp-applying skills aren't really good enough to make an airtight seal at the top :hehe:

when a man loses his tarp to the wind he loses his manhood and his self respect

I expect the wind will take the tarp and cause the patio table to be launched through the kitchen window.
