to acknowledge their protest against their hedge-fund owner who has made them play their home games in Northampton and is destroying their club.

I have a soft spot for Coventry City. I lived there when they beat Spurs in the Cup Final and celebrated with the whole city. Also, the first game I went to at Highbury was in the 4th round of the FA Cup in January 1977. We won 3-1 and SuperMac scored :cloud9: . Coventry also had an ace Admiral kit, the Subbuteo team of which I got later that year.

I will be supporting their protest, unless of course the cùnts have sung "Same old Arsenal..." before the 35th minute in which case I hope their ****ty little club becomes extinct.

Marve to defend evil hedge funds in 5...4...3...

Although I don't know the story properly. Didn't the club refuse to continue playing at the Ricoh when the council who own it put up their rent 500% or something silly? So they said screw you, we'll go and play elsewhere.

I may be completely wrong here, I don't tend to listen to news regarding little clubs.

I have no dislike whatsoever for Coventry but genuinely couldn't give two f**ks if they had to play their home games on the Isle of Man.

It was more a riff on how 'reckless tax and spend policies have brought the country to it's knees' rather than a corrupt, dysfunctional, under-regulated and irresponsible global capital market, which is what actually happened.

Not your words, of course, the govt's and the press mostly.

day drinking in a pub near college then got the train up from Watford Junction station, stomped around the town centre singing Arsenal ditties and scaring the locals before vomiting in a subway. I should never have had that third pint :-(

They weren't getting any income on a match day apart from ticket money. All the food and drinks etc was going to the stadium owners I believe, who were charging a Premier League rental price.

Who on earth signed up to that? :muppet:
