Except south of the river where is is little tube worth speaking of because it wasn't valuable enough to have to go underground in the first place.

It's easy really, if there is no 19th century architecture on any decent scale, and you're not in the City, Finsbury (real Finsbury if you please) or parts of East London which were flattened in the blitz, then you're in the burbs.
