the reality is that our best player and running back, Charles, was hurt. His backup, Miles Davis, is a known fumbler. Alex Smith was our next best runner, many of those "pass calls" were designed to be run-like in intent, i.e. a short pass to McCluster .... OR Alex could tuck it in and run with it.

The reality of the situation is that we needed first downs. Running three times only knocks 3 minutes off the clock, MAX!

You can't make it all up in one year. We need cornerbacks dearly. Flowers is our only NFL caliber CB. We are also thin in many areas. The O-Line improved a lot. You can only turn your roster over so much in one season. We also need a TE that can make a difference.
