Rather than say something is *******s because it's non-linear and doesn't float your boat.

It's full of artsy, ****y *******s but most of it is knowingly and lovingly done. It's also fantastically well shot, scripted, edited and acted.

It was pretty groundbreaking and influential at the time (why do you think we watch so many box sets nowadays?) and it still stands up brilliantly against anything you want to compare it to a quarter of a century later.

Is it all Lynch you object to or just Twin Peaks?

Lynch is great because he's constantly jumping across the line between genius and mess.

Dune, Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive etc. All pretty crap.

Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart. All classics.

how i like it..often its done by people who think its cool but are not neatly as clever as I am or such a wide grasp of the world and its nuances as me..unfortfunatly I'm obviously a bit on the ball / out there / drug addled than mr lynch..hence i find some of his stuff *******s..its like surreal lite.. surreal that can get on tv not surreal like ducks driving racing cars whilst being fisted by minature cats who are snorting weasel poo and calling it the best high since ****ted coffee beans
