For the past 40+ years my default everyday jean has been Levi's 506. Being of the tall persuasion I have to order online these days to get 36" leg. Ordered two pairs of "dark stuff" that arrived just before Christmas. With ten holes around the bottom of each leg! Looked damaged to me but apparently is a "design feature". Not one they highlight on their website!

I have sent them back and had a full refund but it leaves me with a dilemma of what to get for wearing day-to-day. Regular fit, straight leg, zip fly, uneven fade are my jean preference. Would also consider non-denim. Not had to think about this before so suggestions welcome.

default jean is Levi 501, but 34 waist is too loose for my waist but too tight for my thighs

Not sure what the best option is. Need something in a 32/33 waist, straight leg, but not so tight around my thighs that I can't get them up my leg.
