Costa, Vucinic, etc. all CL-tied. Benteke still very young, proper CF, young enough that ego would be ok understudying with Giroud, knows the PL, and is a great long term replacement.

I am sure the 20m+ required would not be an issue.

You can use the player to keep Giroud fresh for the CL matches. And if you end up with a better player, then next year you have a better player available for it all.

If we can get someone who can boost our chances of winning the league title, then we should get him. CL or not. Not sure Wenger is in any hurry though. I think he'll be happy to muddle through with what he has. We really should have added more to the forward options last summer though. January is not the ideal time to be looking for a good player.

Tried to get him in the summer but United said NO and then put out stupid rumours that we tried to sign Rooney.

Arsene wants Chicharito....happy to pay upwards of £20m to get him.
